Your Board wants to hear from you to help us plan better to suit your needs.

As explained in the last few editions of the Outline, associations costs are going up. Free seminars cost a lot of money. Do you think we should keep the free seminars and have the membership pay an increase in dues; or do you think we should do away with the free seminar concept?

Personally speaking, I honestly prefer the free seminars. I'm willing to pay the extra fee to my yearly association because of the ability to attend such events. It's hard to try to even set up a vacation or long days away to attend NCRA's conventions and appreciate all that PCRA attributes to its members.

I completely agree. I truly don't mind paying the extra fees to have the free seminars. I see it as a perk of being a member of PCRA, and would hate to see them go away.

Count me in as somebody who wants the seminars to stay free. I can only speak on my situation, and if the seminars at the convention were not free, I probably would not attend. It's not that I wouldn't want to attend; it's just that right now I would not be able to afford to attend them if I had to pay for them. Give me a few years to complete my internship and start bringing in some money and then I may be more open to paying for them.

Also, I think free seminars are good for attracting students to the association and possibly holding on to them once they graduate. Of course, watch me be proved wrong this weekend when I'm the only student that attends the convention! Optimism is good.

I just wanted to thank you all for your input on this very important topic. It truly helps guide your Board when making decisions.

I hope to see/meet you at the convention if you are attending.
